I'm happy to eat raw, along with white tree's (cauliflower, others being green tree's ... ) ... but will boil for a short while normally as not too sure if the others will appreciate them uncooked on the roast! ...

Once upon a time I'd keep the juice and drink after it cooled too, but not done that for a while.

Gonna Google this 'goitrogenic' tomorrow as 1) I've never heard of, and 2) to be honest I can't even pronounce it! ...

I think you'll find it in my 'information overload' post from page 20 or something.

There's a link there.

Update from me...

I went to see Dr Ludka Berkowski today and...I LOVE HER!!

She is so nice, so down to earth, so knowledgable and actually...get this...LISTENS!!

She also asks the questions that you would 'expect' and Endo to ask, but they never do.

Bottom line from my appt was that she thinks my thyroid function is fine (I dont have a thyroid so my 112mcg Oroxine per day is doing as good a job as it can) for now but that my adrenals are shot. I've been prescribed DHEA and Cortisol and have a load of tests to do - when my adrenals are sorted we'll be looking at moving across to dessicated thyroid but she said at the moment (and I agree) I just couldnt take the T3.

An excellent appointment with an excellent doctor leaving me a very very happy customer!

Seasider...making an appt with her was the best thing you could have done. Good luck with yours next month.

Thanks, Mrs. I wish I could have got in sooner as I'm struggling a bit at the moment, and not sure if it's my thyroid or the change in HRT plus new osteoporosis drugs, but who needs sleep, eh?

Anyway - today was a lovely day (18C!) so I got on my trainers and went for a good hilly walk. Gotta take responsibility for my own health and fitness.

Good on you Seasider. Exercise will make you feel much better. Boosts thyroid activity too.

Beggars belief I think is the term! ... :curse:

Ok, TSH is now 0.01 (0.35 - 5.50), and Free T4 is 18.1 (9.0 - 25.0)

Free T3 wasn't tested even tho we asked for it, and when we questioned the doc he fed us that line again about how Medicare will only pay for two T3 tests per year and we've had one recently already!

Best bit is it states on the page he printed off :

History of hyperthyroidism ...

Also says:

Previous raised TSH is noted (whatever that means!!)

Also TMA-C (whatever that means too!)

Doc couldn't explain either comments!

When asked where we go from here as absolutely NO weight has dropped, and gaining if anything, and still feeling very tired all the time, his answer was to go back from 100mcg a day to 200mcg and see you in 2 months!!

I think I'll get more sense from you on here than at my local GP ... shocking!
