Businesses are employers of the left and right. Surely you can understand that?

You are absolutely right though and my profound apologies for getting it so fundamentally wrong

On that sharing of the burden, there's a good chance that those claiming NG are part of the net zero tax group

I suspect that Doctors are against it because most of the bulk billing places have specifically moved to being cashless, which in turn saves them money. All of the associated costs involved in taking and keeping money are dealt with by the system.

Doctors don't like it because it increases their admin. And everyone hates admin right?

But its a shortsighted approach from the docs. If the investment goes where it should then the doctors become better, have better solutions, more interesting careers, and a better success rate down the track.

NG should go.

Yes. But based on what you said earlier, why should they pay tax at all?

Refer to Zulu's nit picking.

Did I ever say they should remove corporate tax. No.

The priorities of this government are as clear as day. They want the poor to get poorer and the rich to get richer.

The medical research program is a good idea but if we are in a budget emergency (which we're not) then that can wait a few years until funds allow

Lack of job creation is a concern but I have no problem with increased university fees - and there will be a scholarship scheme to help the most disadvantaged

As for the jets, let's go the same way as the UK and get rid of our capabilty to defend ourselves

Most Australians have been getting richer with increasing living standards for decades - you just have to look at per capita GDP. HDI, Gini coefficient etc, and long may it continue

Sure. NG is done by people from all income groups but there is no doubt that people on higher incomes benefit the most

So improving the quality of the doctors is the solution? We need to pay doctors more for them to have an incentive to improve? That sounds much like paying the top polluters to not pollute. Yet, the reverse happens at the bottom where the incentive to improve is to cut welfare. Why is welfare for businesses (including GP's) appropriate but not for lower income earners? Why not just charge a GP co-payment and put all that money towards Medicare? If we have a lower quality of doctors here, giving them money to improve is not the answer. It's an incentive to have many more patients in and out the door as quickly as possible.

You said they should pay less tax because they don't get to vote. Why should they pay any tax at all if they don't vote. Easy enough to understand.

NG is tapping into the tax pool and only benefits those who have investment properties. It should go ASAP.

As long as it is matched by income tax cuts and/or increased GST
