BIX!
Nearly forgot!
Had a vegetarian cornish pasty Friday(from the bakery where I work).
Mairi said they usually have meat in them?
Anyway, it was very nice! (though, I eat everthing, spec if I'm hungry!)
But, what makes a pasty(ie) Cornish???

Re: Let's just cut the crap and have a good row
Well hello and here I am once again. The really sad thing is that I have come into my office on a Sunday afternoon. A Bank Holiday sunday afternoon. The uni comp room is shut (how dare there?!) so I resorted to driving 5 miles to my office just to get online. Actually, there was another reason - there is a laptop waiting here for me (yay! soon to be online at home too!), my expenses cheque and my pay cheque. But getting back on here was the main driving force, of course.
Now what's all this about Bixie Baby retiring? Publicity stunt, I'm assuming, since there is no way he could be serious.
And as for this thread dwindling into obscurity without me....tsk, tsk, I'm ashamed of you ladies. I left the fight in your careful care and look what happens? Lucky I'm back, eh.
So, what's been going on? Any exciting news to report? What's this about Cov's list and am I on it? Cats called Gordon swallowing elastic? Loose eating strange meats ? Simone discovering a social life?
Anyway, shall be resuming normal services on Tuesday (darn Bank Holiday).
But here for a couple of hours yet....

Simone honey, what did you do????!!!!!! Losing your job already? That's no good
We actually had pretty good weather while we were away. Blinkin cold (spot the soft southerner). Bright and crisp up in Edinburgh. Packed because of the festival, but good fun. We were staying with Mr B's oldest friend (another Nundle boy - they do get around) so went out with a load of aussies, always amusing. Saw The Cat Empire playing (Melbourne band, not bad). We were only in Edinburgh for a couple of nights, so didn't do much else.
Lake District was stunning. Spent a lot of time messing about on Lake Windermere. Lots of healthy fresh air and stomping about, very nice indeed. It did rain (I suspect it usually does, it being the Lake District and all), but it rained at night, which was very convenient of it. Slummed it in a backpacker hostel as usual - we call it market research in case we ever own a hostel ourselves.
Spent a loooooong time on trains - 12 hours to get up to Edinburgh from Cambridge on Monday, shorter on the way back because we were only coming from the Lakes, but it still took 7 hours. Got as far as London and some poor bloke had a heart attack and died running for the train, so we never made it out of Kings Cross station. It being rush hour, we had to fight with the other six million people trying to get back to Cambridge and it took forever. But we made it in the end and I reminded myself why it is I don't work in London.

I didn't do a thing!!
See post, now up in Oz forum!
Combination of not enough experience and too expensive (I'm 22, bloody hell! )
Now have time to concentrate on getting proper job.
Bundy, sounds good! Well, except the train and the rain!!!
Hey, my parents are coming to Cambridge next weekend or so!
My dad got it as a present for my mum's birthday!
I said they should look you up, but they said they wouldn't have time
