Morning everyone - WOW a 'January' has a CO - !

Looking at the numbers on BE update - progress is excellent since last month...

Visas - 18 grants since monday (compared to 9 the entire month before)
COs - 9 assigned since monday (+1 Craig!) (compared to 9 the entire month before)

Lets hope this progress continues!

Thanks Beccie - sadly we probably won't be flying out til after Xmas as OH has taken a contract until then so we don't stave! So we can truthfully say it's for 6 months.... I bet you will be booking that plane as soon as you get the visa! (I'm jealous!)

What with you and St Joseph intervening for me, I was on a winner.

I would get the employer to write a simple letter saying they have offered your OH a job as xyz at their xyz premises and are waiting for his visa to be granted in order to employ him as they are aware he can not work until he has the visa. (Write it yourself and get them to sign it!)

It depends on where you go. We had ours done in Manchester and were offered a date that same week. If you're not in a hurry to go or to validate this year, you may be as well hanging on. We did ours in January because we're hoping to go in October - not so sure about that now

Hiya. No - no CO yet, I've just changed my signature... I had sent the form in requesting the check but have since received the letter back. I had to ring them though as they were outside their 40 day data protection act requirement. v.funny telling New Scotland Yard they were breaking the law!

I celebrated American Independence day Aussie style last night as I have discovered a gorgeous pub run by an Aussie couple here in Norwich. I had some Crown lagers with the 'Aussies in Norwich' crowd; it was a fab night but has made me quite homesick for Oz! Come on immi we want to see more COs allocated!
