Pretty sure it does make the chances of a defective gene causing a problem more common - my husband used to work in a hospital where a community had a lot of cousins marrying, the cases of a particular syndrome he was looking at was almost exclusively from these marriages.

I only mentioned it because for ages it was used as an example of possible ET visitations in the past, Oh that and the delta winged childs toy they found in a myan temple.

My own personal theory, having witnessed people from the Gippsland region of Victoria, is that the very worst case scenario is to have a very small gene pool initially created by people from many varying nationalities.

Hi
Apparently not.
The govmnt claimed it was fire but the whole building collapsed in a v similar way to the others. Also, every building had this powerful thermite explosive found - 'it cuts through steel like butter' explaining the look of the an oxy acet torch - how it melts n bubbles the steel while you're cutting. This also explained the molten metal found weeks later. Theres no way a fire could do this to steel, the heat it needed to get to was furnace hot - 2000c (or similar).
Also, the way the building 7 fell followed the pattern of the others - like a controlled demolition whereby the central column is blown and the building collapses on itself. If the 'fire' sceanrio was right, the structure would still be standing.
Watch the video, its really scary but v good.

Sorry guys, I'm struggling with this - I can't justify watching this at work, and my connection at home isn't man enough to do the bis - Can somebody just briefly run past what this is about?

Cheers...

No I wouldnt think watching it at work'd go down 2 well.
I'll try n u know, post u a copy if you want. Worth the watch.
Basically - control of the populace through the ages by the powerful few, through whatever means - starts with religions, then onto section on 9/11 & war against terror, then onto control of popuation via those in control of money - bankers etc. Gets scarier n scarier.
pm me if you want me to send it

It would depend on whether the 'genetic defect' was a congenital condition caused by a recessive gene. Usually, conditions caused by recessive genes are rare because they are usually canceled out by a dominant gene from the other partner. Get a couple who are closely related together to breed and there is a much higher chance they will carry the same recessive gene, thus the offspring suffer from some condition or another.
I have a feeling that there's another reason why inbreeding causes problems, but I can't think of the science behind it...
If you're talking about genetic mutation though then I can't see how that would be increased by a smaller gene pool.... unless nature is clever enough to respond to genetic problems by mutating? That would surely have to happen over time on a societal level though, not within individual families.

(I have worked with kids in an area where there were some very close families - some cases were quite 'interesting'. Tragic for the children though.)

That's it I remembered the line in the thread "Have you ever been to Gippsland?"
The thread I was referring to earlier was Carl's one about Consanguineous Relationships
How sad is that! the bloody thread is over a year old

Yes, I've seen that conclusion too. I don't think it actually rubbished the incest taboo but it did put a bit of a question mark on the generally accepted line about it.

Same for the Pentagon hit, where was the plane? How did it fly through all those lamp posts without hitting any?

A must watch for everyone I think, then we can have another thread to discuss it.
Oh dear, Ark: you are falling into the same mindset as the biblebashers!

The simplest explanations are usually the correct ones: it's easy to concoct conspiracy theories by taking small insconsistencies, add a little speculation and end up with christianity, islam or we-never-went-to-the-moon!

The classic way that religions fool the masses....

I don't know how we get onto the 9/11 conspiracy, but there are sites out there run by physicists and engineers who pooh pooh the whole ridiculous building collapse conspiracy.
It's out there, just google.

Let's get back onto the bible, eh?

I was reading Rachel North's blog on Blogger this week... she's one of the lucky people who escaped death in the 7/7 attacks on London.
Look down that page to her post entitled:

' On mercy, killing and the release of prisoners'

Okay readers. Here's some topical words from the Qu'ran, the Torah/Prophets/Old Testament and the New Testament.

Can you spot which quotation is from which book?
'

Quote taken directly from Rachel's blog.

I find that a particularly interesting post and it doesn't take 2 hours to read.
