welcome back to the dark side mate

I am amazed and gobsmacked you've not been jetlagged either side. Must be in your wiches genes

My natural time clock is to sleep around 3-4am Aus time and wake up around 11am.
Even before I went onto nights though i didn't get jetlag really. I follow the advice I was given on the first trip I ever did - get onto the new timezone when boarding the plane. I usually fly to arrive early morning, so I sleep on the last let of the flight, land 5-7am ish, stay awake all day, collapse around 10-11pm, sleep for 8 hours, next day I'm adjusted to the new timezone and never look back. Maddening for everyone else but perfect for me as I don't lose any holiday, I just hit the ground running.

My first night in either place is usually pretty funny though - I last till around 10.30pm then I just fall asleep - on the spot. Bernie didn't believe me till he saw it in March this year, but I just glaze over, lose control of my words, and once I even fell asleep and fell off the stool in a pub This time is the first time I've avoided that, I nearly lost it the first night I got to London, but managed to fight through the sleep and till 3am somehow! I know I'm dea lucky, I really feel sorry for people that get it badly, must be hell losing holiday time cos your sleep pattern is up the swanny.

(As predicted by doctors) jet-lag for me is much much worse when flying eastwards - even so I can get caught out when arriving in Blighty after a trying flight from Asia, normally I stay with friends near Heathrow straightaway the first night but once I picked up the rental car alone at the airport and set off north hoping to arrive late night UK time at my parents' on Merseyside. Of course falling asleep repeatedly on the motorway in winter is not the best start to one's holiday! Only the Chubby Brown tape on the car stereo saved me from certain death

As long as the reason they last is something that involves me getting at least a few overtime payments

Webby was his usual self tbh.

Everton only woke up once the match was practically done & dusted. Arses a bit better but still lethargic.

Chavs on now....
