I'm so proud of her, 2 years ago she was failing everything before she even started it, now she has s shedload of GCSEs, is drop dead gorgeous, thinks a career is more important than a boyfriend, and has a place at college this year. Part of the conditions of going to college and doing work experience is to be able to get from her village to wherever without relying on her parents - we all thought she'd get a bus, but nooooo she sorted out the moped, all the gear, licence, CBT, the lot! Passed the CBT yesterday, rode the moped home last night

Just had my first Skype with big bro who's in NZ now Was lovely and it's almost hard to get yer head around the fact that you can talk and see (when his webcam is working) someone who is 1000s of miles away, so instantly. He's doing well and hopes to sort his accommodation out this week so he can be rejoined with his hounds

It makes our move seem all the more real. It's really happening <eeek>
