[QUOTE=ROBnCAZ]Firstly, I dont think this is a troll.......just someone asking a downright stupid question!!!! Guys, the very 1st thing that most people do when they buy a house is redecorate,,,budget in another couple of grand and get it looking just how YOU like it!!! Smell the coffee yet? It never ceases to amaze me the amount of people that buy a house based on the colour of the friggin walls!!
Secondly, and this is way off topic and may even offend some (oh, well there's a first!!)....why do most Scottish people on here, either insist on making reference to Scotland in their user name or insist on talking in some gaelic form of English when they type Do you see many English with names like George the Dragon or the round table knight from London...? Do we insist on talking in our local dialect (believe me, if I did, you wouldnt understand Jock)!!
I just dont get it??
OK, we're all proud of our heritage......but get over it for gawds sake!

OK......... withought going too deep into things here, i`m not just talking about colour of walls! i`m talking about the overall condition of, lets just say $200K-250K somewhere in the range of £100K is an estimate of my property. Now! as this was an issue with the missus more than myself up till now( even though I wuld be doing all the work to keep her happy) i feel i have to defend her comments!
I have looked at maybe 100 properties around the costs mentioned and almost all apart from a small minority looks like my Gran`s house back in the late seventies when i was a teenager, very old fashiones skirtings, facings, DOORS, flowery wall coverings, flowery tiling (real yellow dandy flowers) very dark green, mahogany wooden flooring AND kitchen fittings and units that i would be embarrased to put in a skip!
I`m thinking maybe a full overhaul of interior could cost many thousands of $
I tell you what, if i get the opportunity to have the pleasure in purchasing a house around the price that i feel comfortable with then maybe i can give you a call and hand you that couple of Grand to do te decor as long as you aggree to foot the rest to the point of keeping the missus happy
Maybe you can even go that bit further and throw me a link to a few houses around the $250K along with some pics that you would happily buy!

Over-capitalisation is always a concern as your loss is the buyer's gain.
