Sorry I misunderstood the question, that's what I've done and had the confirmation Mail 3-5 days response time.

Hmmm. Now that more than 5 business days have passed since phil157 contacted the embassy, I wonder if he's had a response yet or not.

For all you sceptics out there I did get a reply within the said time only to be told I was emailed on 15th August requesting my passport to be sent. I'm not sure what happened but there is no way I received this mail.
Any way I'm sitting in McDonald's as we speak having taken my docs to DX in Bridgend who will be forwarding them to the embassy on Monday. This has been an absolute nightmare of a journey but I'm so happy I did it the correct way. Good luck everyone and don't get disheartened!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Excellent news Phil

Its a shame you missed the email on the 15th Aug, but all is good now. How many weeks did yours take (to the 15/08)

I've just worked it out as 23 +3 - But I have been known to get my dates wrong before !!
