Good and bad stories about most banks but avoid Bank of QLD.
Know of a few bad stories about them from people I work with and in my own case. They are the pits in every way. We have all taken our business elsewhere.

I am now with the Commonwealth and have been very pleased with the service - over 1 year so far.
You can open an account from the UK.

Other people I know are with ANZ, NAB and Westpac.

Suncorp are across a wide range of financial stuff but I don't think they offer full banking services so check them out in advance if you are thinking of using them.

That is the only reason I am doing it. used to be a personal trainer so know how to lose weight gradually..which I will when I have kick started it with this...already my bad food cravings are disappearing and had no alcohol for 3 weeks!

You didn't look overweight in the photo.
Or was you zipping everything up tight in your leathers

I'll check her name.
May not be her as she has a few staff male and female.

Yeah, know what you mean.
I asked me accountant today if his missus ever does phone interviews and he said she does sometimes.
I said she may have done one this week with a bloke from the UK.
He asked if it was with someone I knew so I said not directly but I understand he's pretty damned good at what he does.
You never know he may mention it to his missus.

It's all crossed.
They do tend to check references.

I did both a phone and written reference for someone recently who got a job at the CBH.
Bloody hell I thought I was back at school doing exams there were that many questions.

They have already had one work reference back.......and there were 3 people to contact, so 2 more to go!!!
The Project Manager from the Water Corporation in Perth was the reference they have had......and apparently the agency woman said it was excellent
God I wish I could just book the flights today!!!!
