We have one living under our greenhouse if anyone's hungry.... also lots of deer, though they are skinny due to drought.

And you'd want to chuck a few sprouts in, for maximum fart value.

So my take is not to stop spending, but to take a long hard look at monthly outgoings (I dropped cable channels I really never watched anyway and probably shouldhave cancelled a while ago), spend within one's budget (particularly for eating out), and spend out of current income rather than on a credit card.
I often think about a quote by Maya Angelou,

Get real. However, when I first moved into my house I had to wait a few weeks before I was connected. Luckily, a couple of my neighbors had wireless that wasn't password protected. I also would sit in the parking lot of a closed cafe and get it when I had open houses at my old place. And of course, there's always the library.

I prefer this saying- Every man for himself.... When I've got my own house in order, then I'll think about my social responsibility.

I live in a condo where two of my neighbors have unprotected wireless routers that produces very good signal strength where I have my computer. I suspect people living in high rises could probably find at least a half dozen.

Not claiming the US is ahead of the world, just saying what I had seen available here at reasonable cost.

I just wonder where they have been all these years.

Next thing we'll 'discover' will be windmills and cars that get 45 mpg.

I was shocked yesterday at my restaurant when a 20 something woman purchased over $20.00 worth of food and drink for herself for dinner. It wasn't just the cost that astonished me but also the quantity of food and drink that she'd ordered. I couldn't believe she could consume so much.

A lady I knew who was in her nineties said to me, "I've just been at the hospital and see they have posters about an amazing new discovery - you can feed your own baby."
