Stores jumping past a holiday.
We've not even had Valentine's day yet, but already, the Easter stuff is out. |

A bit sickening, more like small Pannetones than any Hot Cross Buns I've ever had! |

Canada! :( Mostly this is true for us too...except once in a while at Easter week we see some monstrous American version of Hot Cross Buns done by a local bakery--they are giant oversweet buns with some citron & raisins & way too much sweet icing in the 'cross'. ! |

Usually my Mum visits around Easter time as it's my eldest's birthday on April 1st. She brings me plenty of Hot Cross Buns  |

We get them in the Bay Area. I've never bought any, though - they're incredibly expensive (think $5 for 4).
Typical. Everything you learn as a child is proved wrong when you get old:( |
Re: Pet Peeves?
The Dude has picked up an annoying American-ism that I have just noticed but I'm not actually sure if it is an American-ism or just him.
You see he would rather have chicken wings opposed to pizza. He would rather go out with friends opposed to staying in with us. He must have said it a couple of times recently as I have only just noticed - is this an American thing? or just him? |
