That's some good multitasking, those women, they're way ahead of us. I spotted one reading a book on the interstate, I can barely pay attention enough to read a book on it's own, never mind while going 70mph.

My mug fits nicely in the uphold it my car, though it definitely loses some of it's contents along the way. Travel mugs are a much better way to go. Who'd have thought it?

Amateurs! Round here they keep up with traffic, usually around SL+10mph.

My working theory is that NJ teaches new drivers to be able to simultaneously do two non-driving tasks while driving at the speed limit. (We have a lot of NJ transplants down here, and NJ will swap out a UK licence, so British immigrants never get access to the arcane knowledge of multitasking behind the wheel. :sneaky:)

Ok it has to be said, but the sewerage system can't really cope with me when I have a good old jobby!

As SWMBO once said, jesus looks like Muhammad Ali cut his arm off and left it in the pan

Again sorry, I blame the meat!

It's one odd thing about America - despite them being bigger than the average European, their toilets and baths are tiny. Or is it just because they import everything from China?

My three year old has just potty trained. I am often astonished at the size of the loaves he pinches off for such a small guy.

Often I think we need two toilets in our bathroom, because the ones my daughter produces would make you shit yourself.

Any tips for potty training. We have checked out the potty training kit from out local library.
My poor kid just sits on the pot until something comes out. Sometimes this takes quite a while. Other times he just can't be bothered and doesn't get upset or distressed when he pisses his pants.

I think that's quite normal up till about 2. If he's in his teens you might need to worry.

He's almost 3, and thinks he's a teenager sometimes.

Well, I can tell you what we did whether it works for you is up to the fates.

First off we had been putting it off for a long time. We had always read that if you try to force it too early it builds up resistance and becomes "a thing". Young sir was quite happy to sit in a wet poopy diaper and not care even when it gave him a rash. We decided recently his language skills were there that he could understand what was going on and he had seen his friends at daycare use the potty, it was time.

A friend had told us of the technique called the "bare bottom weekend". We had a couple of consecutive weekends lined up where there happened to be no school on the monday so nice long weekends to sit down and face it. Basically you take off the diaper, no pants nothing. They have a choice, either they pee and poop down their legs or they tell you they need to go potty and you rush them to the bathroom or have a potty sitting in the same room. Still use diapers for naps and bed time.

Some kids get it in a couple of days. The next step after bare bottom is going commando, then you try little trips away from the house. Daycare rules meant he had to wear training pants at school and for a while he just used them like diapers. Then by the end of the second weekend something clicked. He gets up from play and shouts "I gotta go potty" and runs to the bathroom. He never really liked the plastic kids potty on the floor. Got a little step for the big boy potty and he uses a regular toilet. Using toilets out and about is tricky as we don't have the step with us. He'll get there.

About the end of the third week we realized the nap and nighttime diapers were dry. So now he sleeps just in his pjs and comes into our room at about 6am saying "I gotta go potty". Such a lovely alarm clock.

I saw someone having a wank in their Merc, last year...I think it was down the I-90 Pike, or perhaps I-95, near the junction either way.

Not pleasant.
