I was saying that it's better to have them in the car than with you, in a hypothetical situation where you put the kids in the car, walk 20 feet to the corral and walk back again. I still won't accept having children as an excuse to litter the parking lot with trolleys.

For that matter, any time I've actually seen someone leave the trolley by their car, they have been by themselves anyway. As mentioned many times above, people usually find a way to manage and yet still follow the unwritten rules of parking lot courtesy.

Unfortunately I still have the mindset that I have to eat as many treats as possible as if on holiday.

I'd probably end up being the same, if we were to move there.

I'm not asking you to accept it. I'm just telling you that that is sometimes why it happens.

I got bored one day at home and taught that one to my daughter, then had her go stand outside her brother's room and act it out.

That's as may be, but as reasons for laziness go, that's a ****ing stupid one.

Oh, they love having it away, but god forbid they should expend any effort when their issue spews forth.

Right on. If you're enough of an adult to be making babies, you're adult enough to put a cart away. These people are spawning the next generation of non-cart-putter-awayers.

Can we start now with those nuggets who don't believe the custom of clearing up after yourself at McDonalds applies to them?

In reality it mostly isn't. As I said before, usually it's people by themselves when I see it happening. They bung their bags in the car, leave the cart by their arses and bugger off.

I bet they had parents who cleaned up after them at home too, instead of making them do it themselves. That's what begets a generation of people who don't put things away.
