tail on shrimp (or prawns/popcorn shrimp) I'm 50/50.

Prawns or popcorn shrimp should always be served completely shelled no matter what.

Larger shrimp may be served tail on if not in a sauce that makes the tails hard to find.

Under no circumstances do you ever sever a shrimp with the head and legs on FFS. I don't want to feel like my food is waving and staring at me.

British style prawn cocktails should always be served with popcorn shrimp. Even the BBC has this wrong :sneaky:

I think i had paella with tail on shrimp at Hola Paella in covent garden last summer

Why can't radio stations tell you the name of the songs they are playing? I can't Shazam while I am driving. I hear the same song about 10 times before anyone says who it is by, and if I'm very lucky they will give the song title too.

My car radio tells me the titles of the song playing. Further, I can even save up to 50 tags with the song name to download onto a memory card for later purchase.

most "modern" radios can do this, its not a new feature, RDS (Radio Data System. 1992 I think it was introduced in the USA), if you still have your stock factory radio then this could be the reason, getting a new headunit will give you this option (even the bargain basement walmart specials all pretty much have this now?)

I just don't like having to fish around in sauce to eat my shrimp, no matter how big it is, if it is cooked in any kind of sauce then it should be shell less!

Ok, on another note, one thing that really irks me when eating out is the incessant need to keep the shell on the tail of the shrimp in everything (well in 95.23452% of places i have eaten out at - FACT!). Now don't get me wrong, if they are grilled or done on a skewer or something i can understand it, but why do it when they in a sauce? I was eating out at a little italian place this past weekend, i ordered the shrimp alfredo, sure enough the shrimp have the shell still on the tails, i really don't get it?? WHY????? I don't really care for alfredo sauce all over my fingers!

They do it over here as well. Pain in the arse.

I guess that might be why the DJs don't bother then. The stock radio doesn't support RDS of any description, I'd always figured it was rare here anyway. Either the US were much slower in getting it, or everyone I know in the UK upgraded their radios but no one I knew in the US did.

The radio in our 2003 Accord doesn't, but the ones in our 2002 Mustang and 2003 F250 do. It still irritates me that many songs are not now announced. A station I knew of in Chicago used to put the play list on its web site, at least for the last half hour or so, but no others I have ever listened to do. :( .... At least these days Google can usually match a short distinctive lyric to a song.

I don't like RDS, to me its almost as dangerous as texting while driving.
I find myself having to look down several times at a tiny 8 character display that always needs to cycle at least 4 times to display the track name and artist name. So i very rarely look at it.

Like everything else automotive, the US is light years behind Europe! My 2005 Mazda doesn't have RDS but it has a muti change CD and satellite radio which is ridiculous! Not that I'm too bothered as my iPod gets used when I'm in the car.

Apart from the cycling, and the fact that every few minutes it freezes, the problem I have is that it is linked to the headlight control, and goes dim whenever I turn the headlights on. But I always drive with my headlights on, even though I do most of my driving during the hours of daylight, so the RDS display is too dim to read, and virtually invisible when I have sunglasses on. :(

Mine displays the name of the track playing, the album it came from, the date it was released, the artist name, amount of time the track has been playing, amount left to play, name of next track and name of previous track. All on one screen. It also displays the album cover artwork and will play an accompanying mp4 if there is one. :p

Oh, and it talks to me. and has ambient noise volume adjustment. :)

Does it also serve an appropriate corresponding snack food for each song?

It allows me to add a tag to my MP3s that will allow it to pick tracks for me based on my current driving style (based on current braking/acceleration etc). I can have it play angry music... you know, for those times when I'm already angry. :D

Mrs P thinks that most of the music I listen to is angry. :(
