I am told CaCL is bad for the grass??

Yeah, the CaCl is most effective if the ice isn't too thick, otherwise you'll have to use a ton of it.

It's still better than rock salt for when it gets really cold, though.

I'm trying to fill out our insurance limits but the way we have it is that we have individual policies (General liability, auto, workers comp etc etc) and then we have an umbrella policy for a much higher amount. Well they keep on telling me that they can only enter one policy number and that my limit is lower than as agreed in the vendor agreement but can't take into account the umbrella policy that covers that.... Arrggggghhh! Just add the two numbers together and list the two policy numbers - our system doesn't allow for that sir... Well **** off then!

And yes, I'm more than a little frustrated...!

We had to get an exemption for the auto limits of a contractor's cover.... for a rig offshore in Africa.

Oh it's crazy. Everybody wants to be named as a certificate holder with specific waivers of subrogation too -
Company: we require a waiver of subrogation
Me: we have a blanket waiver of subrogation
Company: we require to be listed individually
Me: our policy states that we have a blanket waiver for all companies we are under contract to:
Company: our name isn't listed
Me: It's a BLANKET waiver
Company: We can't accept it - we're not listed.

Seriously, FFS?!

Ok, on another note, one thing that really irks me when eating out is the incessant need to keep the shell on the tail of the shrimp in everything (well in 95.23452% of places i have eaten out at - FACT!). Now don't get me wrong, if they are grilled or done on a skewer or something i can understand it, but why do it when they in a sauce? I was eating out at a little italian place this past weekend, i ordered the shrimp alfredo, sure enough the shrimp have the shell still on the tails, i really don't get it?? WHY????? I don't really care for alfredo sauce all over my fingers!

So you like eating crawfish then? :p

I'm with you - it's a pain and generally unnecessary.

Damn right it's a pain. One of the first few times I went out to eat here I ordered one of those steak and shirmp meals they do. The shrimp was breaded and I'd eaten all but two or three of them before my wife-to-be asked me where all the tails were ...

I was so used to prawns I had no idea they left the bloody things on :D

I did the same thing when i first moved here too, much to the amusement of my wife and her family! I just don't see the logic at all? (love crawfish though!! especially sucking on those heads!!!)

A little story I just remembered from the past. While on a family holiday in Spain one of my little brothers decides he wanted the paella, well it came, the shrimp/prawns were still in their shell. My brother must have been about 10-12 YO at the time and thought he knew best at everything. I proceeded to try and show him how best to shell a shrimp, he decided he knew better and proceeded to put these things in his mouth still in the shell, chew them a bit, and discard of the shell. He thought himself a real clever dick until that night he didn't feel too good at all and pretty much didn't leave the bathroom for the next 2 days! I still rib him about it to this day!
