British Expats - Pet Peeves?

"when i was a student"

When is when? I left in 1998 and had never experienced cheesey chips in the UK.

When i was a student lunch was typically leftover pizza from the night before that you woke up and stepped in before reheating. Or curry saucy and chips.

The exceptionally high rainfall this summer has postponed the inevitable, but the forecast today is for the upper 90's. D@mn, this is my least favourite time of year here. :(

Have you not heard, the magnets down there are all wooden. If they were metal they'd be too heavy and drop off. :D

Probably burn other stuff. Wallabys or whatever.

Hence the well known situation of having to "tie your wallaby down".

Or should that be up?

"Tie your Wallaby up" sounds creepier for some reason.

Yeah tying it "up" would be creepy, tying it "down" is more like art. :nod:
