Waiting times have gone down a lot, too.

Pet Peeves:
People who say "no" without adding "thank you".
Photographs of plates of food (on facebook).
People who celebrate their pets' birthdays.
"Keep Calm & ...." Enough already!
People who moan about bicycles on the road. (No,we can't ride on the sidewalk - that's for pedestrians!)
People who say "Pro - Abortion". I'm not Pro-Abortion, I'm Pro-Choice.
Styrofoam cups, plates, take - out boxes, etc. If you have to go disposable - use paper.

It has become rather overused of late, hasn't it?

When i went for my last physical the forms at my doctor asked if there were any guns in my house

It can have an effect on life expectancy.

Because I agree with you, I'm going to let you off with that spelling mistake.

Except it isn't, it is a past participle of "get" and used to to be common usage in the UK, but is now considered to be archaic because it has fallen out of usage. It is still in relatively common usage in the US, and while I agree it sounds awkward and unattractive, it isn't "made up", nor is it necessarily grammatically incorrect.

I admire your faith in the medical profession. :sneaky:

I don't trust any of them entirely, and as I have said before, there is only one person on the planet who is entirely focussed on your best interests, and anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool!

As is 'could care less', 'a whole nother story', 'irregardless' and 'supposably'.

Your ego might have difficulty coming to terms with this fact: you are not the only member of this forum, and not all members are in the US.
