What I find ironic, if someone says anything even slightly negative about the UK on BE. the whole forum comes down on your head. Go to an actual UK forum and the negativity is pretty much universal. I can disagree and even dislike some posters, I would never call for them to be banned. Aren't discussions supposed to be about differences of opinion.
Really try some UK forum. Try "Random Banter" for a starter.

I don't want a random UK forum. I haven't lived in the Uk for a long time and discussions about supermarkets are simply too boring to be bothered about.
BE is good because of the really good advice you get here when you need it. The idiot in question has consistently given incorrect advice to people moving here. As I have said before, he really doesn't know how much he doesn't know. When corrected, he has been abusive. So, as I wrote before -from now on, when he gives bad advice, I for one am not going to correct it.

Not that you had much to start with, but bang goes any credibility you had left with that statement. The fact that you think a tasteless American plastic cheese is nice shows that your views on food and shopping in the UK (which seem to be at least a decade out of date anyway) are to be taken with a pinch of salt. Which might just make that godawful cheese edible btw.

Christ all mighty, BE is a bunch of pussycats for a forum.

Most of them, you'd be ripped to pieces for talking a load of bollocks.

Try Sheffield Forum. Rabidly anti-American mostly

Vermont aged cheddar is a great American cheese. Sold at Costco and Costco do not sell junk

Trader Joe's sell some pretty great English cheeses also

They do, but I agree, that the Vermont stuff isn't bad.

I've lived here 10 years over 3 states (so far), got family and friends all over the East Coast and parts of the South, was down in Georgia this Memorial Day weekend just gone visiting some of them in fact. Was in Southern Florida earlier this month visiting others and will back down there vising more for July 4th. Last month I was in San Francisco with work, and will be in Vegas in 2 weeks again with work. I probably get out more than a number of individuals on this forum judging by what I read. Seems a certain demographic among Expats just don't like criticism of the old country, however justified it is. I suggest they grow up and get out a bit themselves

No someone went complaining to the Mods about me, after I came back at them. Which is kinda what I was doing. Just explaining my side of the story, I've never complained behind anyone's back, or tried to get them banned.
