How happy are you living in AMERICA?
Hi All,
One more odd post from me. Would like to know your views on -
How happy are you living in AMERICA?
While replying to the post please ignore the factors below
•USA is a VAST country and it varies where you live in USA but please response overall in general.
•Kindly ignore the factors like
* Missing family & friends.
* NHS.
* BBC, TV soaps, Football.
* Fish and Chips.
With your response I want to know how happy are you living in USA and was it a right decision to cross the pond.
Thanks

The BEST thing about AMERICA is that you can write it ALL IN CAPS.
Which is like cruise control for COOL.
It's the BEST.

I like the USA! On a whole!
From a selfish point of view if you have good medical insurance, you get world class treatment, you get the best treatment not necessarily the most cost effective.
Thanks
Nick

I like feeling self-righteous as I drive past the many, many fast food joints.
I love that the mall is open until 10.00pm so that I can go and search out who is giving the best freebies/gift bag with totally unnecessary, overpriced face crap.
Were we supposed to be serious?
Why are you asking?

I like feeling self righteous that I don't get involved in road rage because the OTHER GUY HAS A GUN.

"How happy...."
what a RIDICULOUS question. First off, how are you going to quantify it? My 5 on a 1-10 might be someone else's 2 or 10.
Happy is RELATIVE to what came before.
One day might be BETTER or WORSE than another.
What makes me happy might make other people miserable.
Are you STILL prevaricating about moving. Just get on with it and although you've said in the past that it would be a permanent move, well. Never say Never. If you are unhappy where you are, then do something about it. If you think moving will solve life's problems well, I think it is Bob who frequently writes "same shit, different bucket" and he's right.

Re: How happy are you living in AMERICA?
Ooh, I want to play SHOUTING!
Are you a woman in your mid-40s, condemned to live in DULL sprawling suburbs for a good school district but whose kids are USELESSLY too old to generate school-gate friendships, whose resume is HOPELESSLY decades out of date and set in the wrong country, who's ALMOST at the 'faking religion' point of wanting to meet people in your new area, ANY people, even the smug 'look at how good I am' volunteer-y ones?
No?
In that case, I got nuttin'.

I'm DELIRIOUSLY happy because I DON'T live in AMERICA.

How MANY different WAYS can one ask BASICALLY the SAME QUESTION? Especially when EVERYONE'S mileage can and will DIFFER.
