I would suggest that if the mods (errr, that'll be you Bob) won't ban this guy that we all refuse to comment on or about his posts. That we don't correct the information contained in the posts. Maybe when the quality of information deteriorates enough then he will be banned.
The guy's free to say whatever he wants, within the rules.

I wonder if BE does have a basement somewhere, with manilla folders full of random, possibly incriminating, information about members?

It's not that I don't like what he says, it's the incorrect information and the constant attacks on those that do correct him that I dislike. In my dental forum he would have been banned for either one of those since the quality of the posts and posters is of paramount importance. On BE it is page views which can be sold to advertisers. Fair enough, but I am not going to be used as clickbait. If it carries on, my days on BE are numbered.

Maybe I'm easily amused, but I find his rants quite entertaining ...

Many of us use ad-block when we view this site anyway. Nobody is being used as anything, we post here voluntarily, for a variety of reasons.
You're probably closer to breaking the site rules by suggesting how the moderators should handle things than he is by shitposting, ironically.

I agree with the amusement factor. It is impossible to take him seriously with the constant generalisation and disagreement with anything outside his own limited experience.
I did wonder if the account was/is a side-shoot of the nascent Microsoft AI that seems to keep sneaking out of its holding pen...

I think the most important difference is that the British ones (at least when I was there) don't tend to reach up into your arse quite so far when they're done.
