Fish!

Re: Fish!
My favorite place is where all the Japanese baseball players go when the cactus league is in town (so I have to avoid it in April). They take their pictures with the owner who frames them on the wall. For some reason there is also a picture of the owner with Robert Wagner. Being on first name terms with the chefs helps, you get the proper wasabi sometimes.

Re: Fish!
I've been eating alot of UK style prawn cocktails here. Typically it was a starter for a Christmas dinner in the UK or another rare occasions like a steak meal.
I have not found any prawn cocktail sauce so i make my own. I mix half mayo half tomato ketchup, lemon juice, worcestershire sauce & salt & pepper (optional : horseradish and Tabasco). Some popcorn shrimp, lettuce (not iceburg) and chopped tomato and cucumber and you've got a good old English prawn cocktail
That red shrimp cocktail sauce that they sell in the middle of shrimp ring over here just needs to be thrown straight in the bin IMO

Re: Fish!
Also skip anyplace that has an overemphasis on rolls and an over-reliance on avocado or cream cheese as ingredients

Re: Fish!
I doubt I eat enough of it for mercury to be a concern though, it's less than once a month, if it's even that often. More like 7 or 8 times a year

I can't even say that. As I said earlier, I could eat it, I just choose not to, for the same reason that I let Mrs P take most of the asparagus, I just prefer to eat other things.

And most of the sushi isn't even raw fish around here anyway...most of it's smoked or cooked.

WTF happened to the OP. He asked the question, then büggered off and hasn't been seen on this thread since.
