It always cracks me up when people say "the US really needs to introduce a dollar coin" when in fact three different versions are already in circulation.

Also, Monty Python is hugely popular in the US and has been since the 70s.

It's a massive commemorative type-thing that turns up in your change once in a blue moon.

I'm wondering now how much money I have left behind over the years now, simply by not bothering to pick up change.

Probably best not to think about it.

My husband never uses coins...empties them out into various containers in his study. Earlier in the year I decided to cash them in...15 years worth of coins came to over $1K. He suggested we went 50/50...not a chance...finders keepers.

The dollar coins are all smaller than the JFK 50 cent piece and millions were made. They're uncommon because no one wants them.

I have a few and $2 coins...I think they are $2.
