It's just a bakery though, what's so special about it? It's not like you can't get sausage rolls and buns in 3.7 billion other shops anyway.

Hmmmm.
#1- mixing beer with cider. Nope. And besides, only the alcoholics do that back in the UK anyway.
#2 - 4 weeks paid vacation. Of course! Although I used to get 6. That would be even better.
#3 - Yorkshire pud. Already been done in the markonline1 household thanks to my wife's awesome cooking skills!
#4 - Swearing after 9pm. This is totally incomprehensible to me! They can swear on HBO but not on Comedy Central??? They can show horror films during the day but can't say s*** after 9pm. It's ridiculous and drives me insane!!!
#8 - Legally drink at 18. NO! They can't handle their drink at 41 let alone 21!!!
#13 - Gregg's. Seriously??? Can you imagine what this place would be like if there was a Gregg's in every mall LOL. Is America already not the fattest nation on earth?
#17 - Eating fries with curry sauce. I believe that shouod be chips, but that's a definate one that should be embraced!!!!! Just to be able to get curry from the Chinese would be a start!!!
#19 - English breakfasts on the menu. Again the wife does a mean English and I gotta say, I love eating out for an American breakfast. Denny's breakfasts FTW!!!
24 - shopping at markets. Have far more markets in my area than were back in the UK.
#25 - the date. It's written like as it's said, so I sort of get it, even if it is stupid.
#26 - Embracing Monty Python. From my experience, they do. MP, Benny Hill and Are You Being Served seem to be fairly popular here.

I haven't had notes in my wallet or coins in my pocket for years now. Much easier to swipte the card and make one monthly payment from my bank's web site, with the added benefit that I no longer get holes worn in my pants' pockets.

Carrying cash helps create the (albiet flimsy) illusion that I'm independently wealthy ...
