Even in Canada we heard about the Chick-fil-eh scandal, it was in the news but now a dim recollection.. I should set my alarm so I don't miss SNL tonight!

A controversy is clucking in Pinellas County over chicken sandwiches, sweet tea and voter registration cards.
Democrats of Pinellas County are crying foul over Pinellas County
Susan McGrath, leader of the Stonewall Democrats and head of the Pinellas Democratic Party, said the decision to use Chick-fil-A would be similar to a Democratic supervisor of elections holding the event at Planned Parenthood.
McGrath said the group supports the effort to register more voters, But she called the move partisan to hold the event at Chick-fil-A and said it might be more transparent to hold the voter drives at the Republican Party headquarters.

What exactly is the issue here? Is there some suggestion that people who frequent chick fil a are mostly republicans? Why on earth would that be?
Will there be any time in the future that America enters the rational, 21st century world? Where, for instance, citizens are registered to vote and it's not a partisan issue? You know, like in Australia or UK or Belgium or wherever?

My understanding is most of Aryan Nations members moved to Oh and Penn. over the last 10 years.
Here in Midwest though I find much more open racist attitudes expressed, both from whites and blacks. Cities are on the left , countryside on the right.
