Re: 2016 Election
I keep wondering what is the issue. Will the tax returns show his net worth ? NO. Will the tax returns show how much income and profit he makes ? NO again. They will show what he makes as an individual that is taxable- not what profits his corporations earn, nor appreciation of assets etc. And being in real estate business I would expect his effective tax rate might be quite low. Who cares ? The media seems to. People already decided they are against Trump seem to.

Interesting this subject about Trump's tax returns. I don't meet anyone casually in talking about the election who has mentioned that as an important issue.

If he is running on his business acumen it is poor.

Anyway, why not? Not doing it raises more questions.

Seeing his tax returns might give us an insight no matter how small as to how the man who claims he's going to perform miracles with the economy runs his own finances. A hot shot businessman (by his own admission) with a history of bankruptcies and a deadbeat on paying off people who did work for him needs to come under a considerable amount of scrutiny in that department.

Bush is not standing, and BE needs a bit of balance.

I'd like Gary Johnson too, if he was a bit less right wing (if I've guessed correctly, that is).

Would his tax returns show whether he was or wasn't a good businessman ? Of course not ! Any person with significant wealth will seek to minimize his taxes and the current tax code offers numerous methods to do just that. Few people democrat or republican structure their affairs to pay more taxes !
He certainly has increased his net worth over time, he has run a business organization over many years, and like most businessmen he has had wins and losses. Just as Clinton as a politician and bona fide member of the current elite has in her path towards higher office has made mistakes.
Why not focus on the policies both candidates are proposing ? Which has the experience and overall strategy that will improve the situation going forward ? Trump's tax returns are sought by those who already predisposed to find more ways to disparage Trump. The Clinton email scandal seems to be focused on by those already predisposed to attack Clinton. What a crazy election !

If by crazy, you mean incredibly ****ing annoying, when the hell will it end, or can I just die now so I don't have to listen to the bullshit anymore - I agree wholeheartedly.
I am not joking, I would sign on for four more years of Bush II right bloody now if it meant this whole shit show would end immediately.

Ah yes let's focus on Trump's policies.
To quote John McCain, "I hope Americans understand the remarks do not represent the views of our Republican Party or its candidates."
Well except that one really important candidate.
