Yes, it's good. Obama has proven (x2) that you can win the presidency without the angry white vote and that scares the shit out of the GOP.

Nobody has mentioned it in this thread but Trump has had plenty to say. His big take-away was that the mother didn't speak because she wasn't allowed to.

In a later interview not only was Mrs. Kahn "permitted to speak" it was made perfectly clear that she didn't speak during the speech because, twelve years after his death, she still cannot speak of her son without weeping. She can't even walk into a room where his picture is displayed without breaking down ... there were pictures of him all over the stage.

Pleased that Trump is keeping it classy though.

Don't forget he also said that he had made sacrifices as well. So that's good.

Khan's speech very effective on an emotional level.

But there are two different approaches presented in this election. There is the Clinton more of the same, and Trump's more forceful approach. Many people I know are in a quandary which approach would be better. Of course there are many who blindly follow either approach based on ideology or emotions.

Actually I know many who think that if Trump could just keep control of his comments the election would his by a landslide because many people - democrats or republicans feel country is on a wrong path, and more of the same isn't the answer.

I think the debates will lose the presidency for Trump.

And the approach of banning Muslims. I didn't see a less forceful suggestion from Hillary's camp?

Trump can't hold a candle to that family.

The idea of banning Muslims because (a) a certain percentage are a threat (b) that the CIA and FBI directors have publicly stated they are unable to properly vet all of them, does have some appeal to many. Just as they are many who deeply offended by such a policy.

If Trump was an accomplished politician of course he would have presented a tougher policy without expressing it in such a way. Making such comments especially in the upcoming debates will lose him the election.

So for those who fear the sky will fall if Trump is elected, relax , America will continue along its merry old path that 70% of the population is concerned about.

No, the problem is Trump supporters believing his policy will make them safer.

That's they only reason he's got this far.

Trump needs to learn to count to 10 or even 5 before he speaks.

Is he an 8 year old boy? This is a rudimentary skillset. If he hasn't figured it out yet, it's unlikely he is capable of learning at this point.

and now he's been caught in another lie, saying he got a letter from the NFL saying the debate schedule is ridiculous.
The NFL, of course, deny sending any such letter.

Even Trump's strongest supporters must shake their heads and wonder what goes on in his mind from some of his responses to questions. Some people have said that if Trump wants to win the election all he needs to do is not speak for next three months.

Agree should have just focused on those properly vetted.

Lol, true. I think every single Republican in government could have given a better answer to the question about the Khans.
