It might be appropriate to review some relevant site rules here:
Site Rules

1. Personal Attacks
BritishExpats.com is an interactive site, and everyone who participates is “in it together”, please treat others the way you wish to be treated. Personal attacks will not be tolerated. Challenge others’ points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully … without insult or personal attack.

4. Trolling

Trolling on this site is not tolerated. We define trolling as any inflammatory threads or posts that are started with the sole intent of upsetting or antagonizing other members. Anyone found making such posts will be removed from the forums.

7. Copyrighted Material
You cannot legally post entire articles or news, or other copyrighted material in the forum without permission from the copyright holder. Even if you attribute the article/material correctly it is still copyright infringement. Minor fair use excerpts of less than one paragraph or 4 sentences may be used if the content is publically available on the internet. All other forms of inserted content from press releases, newsletters, web pages, or any other copyrighted content placed into messages will be removed without exception. A link to the content is acceptable and appropriate.

It appears that No. 7 did not require Boiler to provide a link to his quote. I have no doubt that Site Rules 1 and 2 are being routinely broken in this thread, to the point that a number of valued regulars are avoiding it because it has become so poisonous. Points of view are not being challenged respectfully and thoughtfully … without insult or personal attack, and this is unfortunate.

That's an interesting theory. We know they stored dead pharaohs in the pyramids. They also sealed up other things in the pyramids that the pharaoh would need in his future life, such as gold treasures, chariots, weapons, spare wives, servants, the architect who designed the rooms and passages in the interiors - and probably enough grain to keep the pharaohs going.

What's scary is that according to some of the polls, Carson currently is seen as having the best chance of beating Hillary. If that idea takes firm root, he could win the nomination and might become our next President...will the Doctor be in?

Hmm, isn't it violating the TOS to quote without attribution?
Whether Boiler wrote it or not...it's spot on.

And Independent.

Outed is an interesting in this context term however.

Good quote - where did that come from, hmmm. And I suppose Joseph would have had to store it somewhere...maybe Carson was onto something.

Onto something, I'm not too sure. On something - now that looks quite likely.

It worries me how someone so utterly clueless actually qualified as a surgeon

Well, you know those guys that are in tight with the anesthesiologists have access to the best shit.

I'm assuming you don't question his abilities as a surgeon? By all reports, if your kid needed brain surgery, he was the go to guy.

Brain surgery and rocket science used to be our standby metaphors for intelligence. Thanks to Ben Carson, rocket science is the only thing that we have left.

We're going to have real problems if we end up with an idiot astronaut running for office.

I don't know. I read recently that he had an above average number of complaints lodged against him, some of which are still being litigated. Even if he was an excellent surgeon that is not in any way relevant to political office.
