Was there a particular reason for wrecking this thread, or is it just a random choice?

What more can anyone want?

If every thread remained 100% information or 100% frivolity we would not have such a diverse group of people posting.

BE is as it is because of the people on it so should stay eclectic if people want something different I presume that there other sites available.

You can't be serious, are your telling me your posts about TOADS, TOSTADA, TEABAGS and ARTIfACTS warranted a serious answer . I thought you had found our sense of humour and joining in last nights silly moment.

It could never work, a lot of these guys (& ladies) are really old, by the time they've found their glasses and taken the right pills, they've forgotten what the question was!!

Hopefully one day I'd like to be the most addled 140 year on the forum.
But currently a lean, firm, fully sighted if thinning on top, 40something - well bald and 40 odd.

Hi London man

Some one will be along soon to answer that for you. Welcome to BE, I know once you are of retirement age you don't pay, OH is 61 and he pays full price of medication but is cheaper than prescription charge in UK. As I say better advice will follow.

Discounted, but free when you register on Spanish health system with your e121 and get a sip card.
That is if your wife is over 60, you can get it also as her dependant, if no wife then you have to be over 65.

Mmm… Welcome to BE… How sincere. Everything I expected of ‘the wrecking gang’. Firstly, I only added the utter drivel onto the continuing utter drivel to see how far you’d keep it up. I’m sorry you couldn’t see that.

Secondly, if you start at the beginning, you can see it was all working smoothly as a useful resource until the vandalism started. I’m all for a bit of humour, and people who know me will know I like a joke. Humour smoothes the day along. I couldn’t have got where I am today without humour.

BE is a forum where you find excellent information from a variety of knowledgeable people, humour and friendship. What more can anyone want?
I totally agree. Up to my posting of this thread that’s how I felt. But - a bit of humour and fun, yes. Total destruction - no.

Unfortunately the degree you (pl) take it to is ridiculous. IMHO it’s not knowing when to stop, that turns humour into idiocy. As you know, I took umbrage at the 18 posts ON thread and 18 OFF thread point, with even the moderator joining in to encourage things along. What a magnificent achievement for ‘the gang’…

Sorry, but to me it’s along the lines of breaking off tree branches and kicking off car mirrors. Bit of a laugh innit?

You could, of course, easily start your own chat thread, (it’s cheaper than skype) and leave the useful threads alone. Why not do that instead of the wrecking?

I of course would expect the moderator to fully support that concept.

Thank you leighbloke for bringing some real humour to the thread!

Ere hang on a moment. You post any questions on this site and we come piling in with answers. We go out of our way to help people. Theres nothing wrong with a bit of lightheartedness.

In my opinion tbh, and don't take offence, it is totally useless starting a simple answer and question thread. In time it will become unusable as no one will be able to find (a) the questions and (b) the answers. I think you will find most of the posters felt the same, hence the banter.

I'm sorry if we upset you, not the intention ... I don't think you can find a board where so many people offer help, and newcomers are always suprised by the speed of replies.

Toyboy I can not believe you are so upset about this, but obviously from your last post you really are and for that I do aplogise, people who know me will know that I do not intentionally go out of my way to cause upset infact for from it. I have to say I do not know you or much about you as I have not read all your 44 posts, however I think I can say that now I have a better understanding of you and I am aware that you are a serious sort of person I will most probably stay clear of your postings. The last thing I want is to cause any more upset, I just think it is a shame that you felt the need to post as you did to try and proof a point. Again apoligise for your upset but not for having a sense of humour, all beit not your kind.
