I’ve explained the wrecking more than once, and others posters have recognised that. You know precisely what I am talking about, and I see that post #116 conveniently doesn’t get answered.

You need the courage of your convictions rugbymatt.

You may very well be a 'nice bloke loved by all', but once you say something, either stand by it, or retract. I don’t find it hard to express regret if it’s appropriate to do so.

Hey toyboy

Give it a rest Jeeez your making a Mountain out of Mole hill !!

I can see where your coming from , but it does occur on threads they start and a little banter comes in , its all harmless , if the threads are important they will go back on track ..
As was pointed out by both jdr and Mitzyboy your theory wouldnt work anyways as each question would be lost in a 1,000 pages !!

So let it drop
rugbymat, and indeed most of the members here do like a little light joking and banter , which like i said is fine . Because if you have a little search you will see that when a serious question is raissed they are a wealth of information and will go out of there way to help and advise ..

So just relax and take it easy get one of them Cadbury Caramels

I hate to think what you got admonished for, if all this wrecking and insults are acceptable.

I suppose there's not much point asking where did I suggest that this forum is a school governors’ meeting?
My head hurts from all these questions, and they are all soooo long, so since you wont take my olive branch, would you like to point me towards the part of this post I have left "unanswered"?

I’ve already said, and we all know, that there are plenty of ways to chat online. Going to post 16 of a BE thread that had a clear intention of being an ongoing thread and just starting a chat with mates is an abuse of the board. Posters could of course have started their own chat thread. That would obviously be allowed on BE as the chat vandalism of my thread was happily allowed.

Anyone playing the ‘we’re a friendly lot’ card hasn’t read my posts here, or is missing the point. I have absolutely no problem with humour or ‘a little light joking and banter’ or sarcasm or smilies or whatever. However, if you care to re-read posts #1 to post #36 you surely cannot miss what went on here.

Big Pete: I appreciate your input but looking back, it was rugbymat and gedge (a moderator) who started pulling it all apart. Posts like ‘ey up mate, how's it going?’ add precisely what to a thread? It’s just chat that belongs elsewhere. As to ‘it would never have worked’ why wasn’t that said at the time? Is that the way you welcome new people to BE? As for ‘each question would be lost in a 1,000 pages !!’ that’s precisely my point as to why the chat should be elsewhere.

Rugbymatt, yes, you’ve got in a bit deep haven’t you? It’s not so far away, it’s in #123,
and I see that post #116 conveniently doesn’t get answered.
You seem to be the only one holding out on this vandalism, and in fact then making it worse with insults, and then not explaining it.

Insults......hmmmm, where would they be? So far you have been very cryptic in your posts, so if you could be a little clearer for the more ignorant among us I would appreciate it.
Take the issue up with everyone else why don't you, I am bored of your ramblings and attempt to drag me into an argument, I have offered an olive branch, you have no intention of backing down, I have explained my position and you refuse to accept that people contribute in differing ways and that these places are totally organic.

In too deep? Really? Try reading some of my posts in TIO and see how nonplussed I really am about this thread, I just keep posting because you are being as stubborn as I am.

Phew! Still not answering the question - I wonder why? You have not actually offered an olive branch. A self-effacing 'sorry' for the extremely unpleasant Nazi jibe would have been accepted with good grace a very long time ago. It obviously ain't coming though...

There is no question in post 123.

You have changed the focus of your strange annoyance a couple of times now, I have read your posts and it would appear that you are as tolerant with me as you are with others, so I take comfort in that.

I have offered an olive branch twice, if you think I am going to say sorry for saying the word Nazi you are mistaken as to where I live, I can say any word I please, it is up to my peers to tell me if I have overstepped the line, and saying the word Nazi is neither against the law, against my mothers religion nor against the forum rules.

Now please, can we drop this because it is deeply upsetting to some people that this is continuing, if you want an argument then post a thread in TIO entitled "I think Rugbymatt is a racist scum" and we can discuss it at length, but the Spain forum don't want to read anymore of your ramblings.
Or of course you could simply put me on ignore, and you will never have to read anymore of my racist twaddle, ok?

Thank you

Hi,

Just wondering how you get around the water when living in Spain. I will be moving to Estepona (hopefully within the next year) and have a 1 and 5 year old. Do you just use bottled water all the time, boiled water or is there a special kind of filter you can have fitted?

Thanks

Sarah

The water is quite safe to drink, its mostly only tourists that buy the bottled water.
Although for the baby you may need the bottled because of the irons etc in fresh water.
Water takes hundreds of years to perculate through the mountains and is nearly always pure when it reaches the lakes etc, the only time it gets a drink by date on it is when its put in a plastic bottle. ;-)
