The GC stop illegal Spanish fishermen in the Bay of Cadiz yet protect the same methods in Gibraltar waters:frown:

Nice to hear it from a German viewpoint, they don't pull any punches do they?
Things look pretty bleak down there, no wonder they want a bit of the action in Gib. Wouldn't take them long to bankrupt that though.

Thanks - can't take any credit for finding it, though - it was my cousin in London (whose family has had a house in Spain since the 50s) who emailed me the link!

Only thing being that the Rock contains a seam of pure Gold, whilst the Hard Place gets harder every day and little wonder looking at how the place has been run.

Absolutely Shocking !

Apart from fags being cheaper, how's the cost of living compare with mainland Spain, Fred ?

As if Spain doesn't have enough on it's plate. The GC won't be able to afford diesel for those boats soon:blink:

Watching Bloomberg this morning, depressing viewing! Spain's borrowing rate up to record levels, 10 year up to 7.52%, (Switzerland, Denmark, Germany and Finland, are currently borrowing at negative rates, UK at it's lowest level) stocks down 4.5% today, Valencia and Cataluña with huge debts, Murcia and Castilla La Mancha next, and the Spanish regions owing €15 billion. Luis de Guindos is still saying no bailout needed.
