Re: Jags - 'Business case?'
Any news on the old Jags building? Has there been any developments in terms of a new bar / restaurant opening?

There are rumours with some strong vibes coming out of them, but nothing which has any real substance. Fingers crossed there will be something soon, it's getting near prime time for a new startup:fingerscrossed:

Re: Jags - 'Business case?'
Hi ted and Sharon, have just read about your interest in investing in Costa Esuri if you contact me then I can put you in contact with someone who would like to work together with you to open something up. I think it could be very interesting for you,

Re: Jags - 'Business case?'
Hi all of you out there. I am new to Costa Esuri but I have deceided to stay and do my part to try to get CE on its feet. I have seen that there have been several attempts to get a bus service for CE. I am out of the bus business and a lot of you have received a flyer in your letter boxes in the last few days ( the rest will be distributed soon) In this flyer you can see what my plans are. I would like to get the bus service up and running this season so if as many of you as possible could send me a mail with your support I will get the ball rolling. Only with your support can I make this a success. I look forward to hearing from as many of you as possible very soon.

Re: Jags - 'Business case?'
For anybody investing in a resto at the old Jags I think the best front man would be the wonderful Tomas from the Laguna Bar. He is charming to everyone, always makes people feel welcome and would be just the man for the job.

Re: Jags - 'Business case?'
No idea, just think that he is a very good front man/ people person who also speaks at least 2 if not more languages.
|
Re: Jags - 'Business case?'
Definitely needs multi language staff, but doesn't mean the front man needs to speak it. I was referring to the lingo of being able to round up and liaise with the British co-op which should also have a Spanish interest as well.
I would far prefer tapas to curry any day of the week, so hopefully who ever does do something will cater for all and not just the Brits! :fingerscrossed: |
Re: Jags - 'Business case?'
I have a person who is very interested in running the old jags. He has experience in this type of project and also has considerable marketing experience and speaks English and German fluently. I have his small business plan here with me so if there is interest would the responsible person get in touch with me so that I can let them see it and make the contact.

Regards Frank My e-mail address: [email protected] The local Mayor seems to think it is not a simple option to operate a bus service outside the town and the local private operator has so far declined to include Esuri on his route map. |
Re: Jags - 'Business case?'
With regards to your reply first of all I would like to point out that I do not have a taxi service and it is not my intention to start a taxi service as I want to work with them and not against them.
Regarding the local PRIVATE bus service for residents of Costa Esuri only. I had my own bus company abroad for several years but do not have the papers here yet as I have not yet had my meeting with the Mayor of Ayamonte. As to the vehicle this will be bought as soon as I have the permit. I have on several occasions sent mails to the residents association of Costa Esuri to try to get their support on this matter but they do not seem interested in answering me or wanting to talk to me about this subject where as since I have been living here I have become aware that there is a big demand for this service. I do not understand why they are not interested in supporting me when they represent the residents, and they leave it up to a single person like me to have to go it alone. Do they intend to jump on to the band wagon after I have done all the work. I am already receiving support from several residents from here and back in England. It would be nice and very appreciated if the residents association would wake up and support and me and the bus service for their residents. |

Is he interested in putting himself forward though. It is all good to talk about this but unless someone actually comes forward to take the reigns then its not going to happen. I would recommend Bill (Bill & Claire), he's on the ground, speaks our lingo and has previous (experience in running a bar I mean). I am up for co-op investment with the right people!
Do we know who now owns the building? Are all the correct permissions in place from the council for the building to be operated as a restaurant? Have all the works to open the building in accordance with H&S legislation been completed? Is it the intention to operate the building as a community facility for the exclusive use of the 50 or so villas for which it was built and who now have a proper community and who's rules will determine how the "club" is operated? I think it might be a bit early to start appointing staff before the fundamentals are sorted. Has anyone asked permission from the community president to even think about opening his community facility for any purpose whatsoever. |
