Interestingly I thought I would havea quick look at the episode on ITVplayer but it's appears to have been taken down. The episodes each side of it are still available. Perhaps there's an injunction on itv for misrepresentation or something similar.

Just to confirm, the couple in the ITV television programme who couldn't get into their Villa and had the developer wanting more money to complete the villa, is that the couple who were living in the Camposol Urbanisation near Mazarron?
Just to get it clear, we are not talking about the couple who bought the wooden log home or the couple who bought off-plan near Malaga or the person in Parcent (near Denia) who successfully managed to prevent a massive new development in the area?

Is there censorship on this forum? I trieid to post what Mark Stucklin had to say about Camposol and the post got deleted. The censorship on this forum is worse than that on the hpc website

I repeat, the posts go into a mod queue when a new poster posts them, and this is to stop spammers or advertisers coming on here and littering the forums.

You have to feel sorry for the couples who have lost their deposits/homes through no fault of their own as the following episode showed.
It's interesting how strongly people defend their homes/location etc.
We love our Spanish home, the town it's in and the location in the town but I understand it would not be others cup of tea.
At the end of the day we are happy and that is all that matters as we are the ones that live their. That must apply equally to almost everyone who buys in Spain providing they research what they want from their Spanish home and location. Otherwise what is the point of buying in the first place.

Surely that is the most important part for everyone. We as individuals, couples, families decide on what we want from a place and aim to find it. Once found and we are settled and happy it is of no real importance at all to us if someone else lives a totally different life to us. We make our own choices and should not be critical of others choices.

An estate agent friend who sells properties at the Camposol Urbanisation near Mazarron told me the other day that people who paid 150,000 - 200,000 euros for properties in the area during the height of the boom are now sitting on properties that are unsellable because nobody wants to live there and you couldn't give property away in Camposol as there are many properties up for sale with the Brits desperate to get out of Camposol before prices fall further.
Anybody who paid 150,000 euros for a property in Camposol during the boom is sitting in a property that is worth just 50,000 euros, a 100,000 euro drop in price. The bad publicity concerning subsidence problems with some properties in the area together with the fact that the properties have been built in a valley and they are sliding down the valley means that people who own property in the area are desperate to sell up before the properties end up worthless.
One more thing, I read somewhere that Camposol villas are made of preconstructed concrete. They are built off site, actually in Torrevieja and transported to site and erected. If one of these properties move then that is it forever you cannot reposition them. Who wants to buy a property made of preconstructed concrete?
