And how many times do you have to be told that Spain has an obligation to it's partners in the Schengen Area to control access across the border ?

I am not the only one that thinks the blocks are the cause of this. The Spanish do too.

What, you and the Spanish think that the blocks are the cause of them having an obligation to their Schengen partners?

Absolutely priceless.

Forgot to add the British Government do too. They have never condoned the annexation of the disputed waters.

You made the point that border checks were going on before the blocks were dropped into disputed waters. I said this was because Spain had obligations to its partners in the Schengen area. Still does.

On rereading what I wrote, I could see how you could come up with your interpretation. If you tried hard enough.

Quite true - the Schengen Agreement has the objective of making the crossing of borders in both directions easier.

However Gibraltar and Britain are not signed up to the agreement.

Seventy concrete blocks, lying in Gibraltar Bay,
Seventy concrete blocks, lying in Gibraltar Bay,
And if only one concrete block, was to suddenly go astray,
There'd be sixty-nine concrete blocks, lying in Gibraltar Bay.

I believe Spain has a number of airports that are Schengen frontiers.

I hope they are checking the arrivals from non Schengen countries with non Schengen people like Ireland and the UK with equal fervour to the checks and delays they subject their own Schengen people to who have to work abroad due to their governments inability to provide jobs

Last time I flew in was from Seoul, passport got a cursory look, however 6 months earlier coming in from Nice we all had to line up and get our passports checked. Isn't France a part of the Schengen countries. We almost missed our ongoing flight because of the queues for the passport control.

Interpol takes up concrete block theft,

The Chief Minister says the Gibraltar Government has behaved responsibly in the way it has reacted to the theft of a concrete block from the artificial reef in Gibraltar’s waters.

Speaking to Radio Gibraltar on Direct Democracy – the quarterly commitment to answer questions from the public – Fabian Picardo says this was a criminal act reported to the Royal Gibraltar Police, and has now been taken up by Interpol.

you are getting more and more childish as the discussion goes on, especially with the bad habit of posting photo's which don't prove anything - picked up from TIO.

I've been watching the viewing figures on Fred's Gibraltar thread, and it plods along at 25 hits a day whether Fred posts or not.

As soon as EMR and I get involved here, the figures start hitting 200+ every 24 hours.

The Gibraltar Government should sack Fred and sponsor me and EMR. We give the public what it wants.
