There is big problem with drugs smuggling from Morocco and Spain is struggling to cope.
I wonder if majority of intrusions are from chasing smugglers.
Some intrusions are pure provocations, without doubt.

Although I do not see ancient frigates being able to engaged in this area whilst sailing around Gib with enormous Spanish flags and blasting out at ear shattering volume the Spanish anthem.
In order to legally enter Gib waters it only requires a simple radio communication seeking permission which I am sure would be given for legitimate operations.

Vaccines done(1st dose)=16,261
Vaccine done(2nd dose)=10,772
Gib is on way to complete inoculation in few weeks.

We don’t get to top too many league tables here in Gibraltar, that’s for sure. But there’s a real sense of pride at what’s being achieved and it’s driven by the tremendous community spirit.â€
This is Gibraltar resident Tom Cawthorn, the founder of the activity specialist In2Adventures, describing the British overseas territory’s lofty position atop the global vaccine rollout programme.
The US may be closing in on 100 million doses, the UK and Israel are going great guns, but nowhere can match Gibraltar’s per capita figures: 131 doses administered per 100 people at the time of writing

Isn’t the UK government having to step in to vaccinate British Nationals in Spain?

It seems to me that this is a very sensible thing for Gib to do since if they have vaccinated the majority of their residents (55+k) to have approx 10% unvaccinated entering every day is a recipe for problems.

Hi EsuriJohn the population of Gib is around 35,000 so an influx of 15,000 + more if the illegals are taken into account is around 50% daily.
This will become many more when tourism restarts.
So the extra vaccinations are an excellent investment.
My Pfizer jabs took place on 15/1 and 6/2/21

Vaccine doesnt protect from infections 100%, but protects from serious illness and ending up in hospital. Most wont know they are infected.
It is still unknown for how long vaccinated person can stay infected, but max 6 days would be norm, until anti-bodies kill virus.
