The air transport industry has called on EU countries to resolve a deadlock over Gibraltar that is holding up European aviation agreements.
Spain’s attempt to exclude Gibraltar from the agreements has blocked important policy reforms since 2012.
In a letter to the Netherlands EU presidency and the British and Spanish governments, key players in the sector have now called for an urgent resolution.
“Unfortunately, and unacceptably, this deadlock has led to major delays in advancing some of the most important European air transport files – to the detriment of consumers,†they said in the letter, a copy of which was obtained by the Chronicle.
“The industry believes that this situation has now become unsustainable.â€

Royal Navy ‘OPENS FIRE’ on Spanish ship ‘harassing’ submarine | News Chicken
What's going on Fred ?
I know the GC aren't the sharpest pencils in the box, but I'd have thought by now someone would have told them that Spain was a member of NATO.
Meanwhile just across the way, guess who is playing host to the Russians, regardless of EU restrictions.

Ref. NATO
No NATO aircraft is allowed to overfly any part of Spain when going to or leaving Gib, I have seen a figure of £10,000 extra cost this has on an aircraft flying from and to the UK.
No NATO vessel is allowed to sail directly from Spain to Gib or from Gib to Spain.
Good job Spain doesn't have a voice in the EU or what other stupidities would we suffer

US sub stuck in Gibraltar row tells our boat to shoot | UK | News | Daily Express
Something of a shame that the UK vessel took any action.
It would have been really interesting to see the U.S. Nuclear sub take out the eejits on the GC boat.

Also there would be a great risk of the sub damaging it's acoustic tiles

Ovation of the Seas made its inaugural call to Gibraltar yesterday. At 348 metres in length and a gross tonnage of 169 thousand tonnes, it's the largest cruise ship ever to dock here. Its 1,300 Royal Carribean International crew members cater for 4,905 passengers

1) Spain and the US have close military ties so why would Spain interfere with a US sub.
2) who really believes that the RN would take orders from a US captain.
You must be getting desperate for news or any anti spanish propoganda in Gib.
