"Trumps" ?? are you saying one cannot mention a man/woman of any nationality/religion doing well, because it would appear as "trumping" the bad ones.

The minister being discussed as replacing Maria Miller as cabinet minister is a MAN. Sajid Javid.
I have never said Muslims don't have good points, what I have said and still say is, Islam has no good points for women.

I believe that, and so far no poster has risen to the challenge of giving an example where women are treated fairly under Islam.
all your examples have been that a women is a minister in Pakistan, but that is despite Islam not because of it.

I'm not quite sure what you're after me me.

The fact that women (eg. Benazir Bhutto and she's one of many) rise to the very top in Islamic countries like Pakistan is surely 'an example of women being treated fairly under Islam'. It certainly seems to be to give the lie to the common perception that women in Islam are downtrodden and have no rights (although some obviously are in that position).

Are you looking for examples where women are actually advantaged by Islam? If so - why?

Me Me, I gave many more examples, and in public life because you would have heard of them. There are Muslim women in all walks of life in all countries, apart from the few countries that have strict, extreme practices.
Yes in Pakistan it is "in spite" of (and usually wealthy and educated, a minority.)

Do you think I should give you names and addresses of all the hundreds of women in my home town in UK and home town in India that live totally normal lives as you do.
As it happens in both towns they are mostly Bohra Muslims.

MCB guidance for schools says that parents of Muslim children should be allowed to withdraw their children from school activities involving mixed swimming, dance, sex and relationship education, music, drama, and figurative drawing on religious grounds. On farm visits, touching or feeding pigs should be prohibited. It also warns that pupils and parents may refuse to shake hands with the opposite sex during prize-giving ceremonies

I find it very strange that some who are not Muslims spend so much time defending them. Have you ever thought that some of us may actually not criticise them so much if you didn't spend time defending the indefensible actions Perhaps they are closet muslims.

They are not only brainwashing kids at school they are aiming to brainwash us forumers Ha Ha

Can you give an example of someone 'defending the indefensible actions'?

Nope. I have friends arriving today. Just read all the Muslim threads on TIO if you really pretend you don't know

Yes I agree, the Muslim Council have been controversial. It is self-appointed and many Muslims do not recognise it.

I included that link for the figures of on economic contribution. Remember there are many Arab multi-millionaires in London!!
The other link about Manchester City Council has been ignored.

Nobody on this forum defends the "indefensible actions" done by some in the name of Islam, nor do the majority of Muslims. To say so is an insult to posters, which goes along with your other insults.

Why would one be a "closet" Muslim? it is not illegal!!

We personally are not Muslims but are able to distinguish between those who commit crimes and those who don't. Also to know that foreign people are individuals not a mass of 'identicals'lol:

PS ---Just a thought, what would happen if a British Expat living in Spain, who did happen to be of the Muslim faith joined in the discussions on this forum ??? Metaphorical faints and horror by some!!!

Nope - you will not look because nobody has done it and you know that. I will not say (again) which particular informal fallacy you have committed.

I note however that you admit to criticising Muslims (rather than Islam or Islam extremists). That is a breakthrough.

ETA I was specifically talking about the Spain forums which is all I use. I see you meant TIO. I suppose there might be people defending FGM and terrorist bombs there.

Well if a Muslim expat was reading, they would have the same options as the rest of us.

The could do exactly the same as Brits do who are constantly slagged off, either ignore it or post a reply.

One British poster called them the ugliest race, another calls a lot of them drunken sluts, but that seems to be ok.

Of course there is a third option, whingeing and handwringing.

That could be one explanation, or it could be that I can't be bothered answering you.
