Oh well if it is Rwanda, I don't think it will be much consolation to a woman who has been raped and has had her children butchered to know that the country has more female MPs than the UK.

Ain't the Maldives, they have very few, but looks like they could do with a few more women MP's to better represent the females of their country.

Could anyone explain the thinking behind that, I'm really at a loss to understand the thinking behind giving lashes to a young girl that has been raped. I realise the sex outside of marriage thing, but by it's very nature rape is sex against her will. Like many Muslim countries, it seems it's not the best place to be if you are female.
