Hi Brian - wow what a cheek! As Ive said before I hate these people and we have decided to pay more to go with someone else, and will only use them if there is simply an offer too good to miss. Our next trip for example is with another carrier - and in this case even though we would have paid more, we still got a better deal to Seville - a bit further - but overall a shorter time for us door-to-door than Faro with ripoff-air. And with a proper baggage allowance included etc.

This must be illegal of them, many people already have travel insurance policies eg an annual one or something on the credit card.

Somenone posted a GREAT site that showed all the low-cost airlines (incl these b***ards )... you just put in arrival and departure info and it gives a list of all the cheapies going there.

Does anybody have that please? Ive lost it upon changing my PC and for some reason my bookmarks didnt transfer

Thanks
Jon

What a bunch of

Jon

I think this is what you are looking for. Just beneath the number of adults there is Search Tools. Select the month and you get a bar chart of prices. This gives you the opportunity of flying out with one company and back with another.

Good luck.................Graham

I think this is illegal. If you buy an annual travel policy it is not legal to insure with a second party for the same risk so Ryanair would be forcing you to breach that. There will be a way not to have to take the policy. It also appeared first on my screen on !st April!

Hi have just been on the Ryanair website and it says " From April 2nd it will be each passengers OWN responsibility to buy Travel Insurance for their trip". I think you will find that previously the box for travel insurance was already ticked as you went through the ticket buying process and now it isn't. We actually get on ok with them as we only take carry on and have annual travel insurance so have no added extras but if you don't then I agree you can end up paying a lot more.

Maybe it is one of O'leary's jokes ( remember a few weeks ago when he said on BBC that he was going to charge a quid for the loo) but if it is a joke it is because he is testing the water... in the email it does state ' that from April 2nd you MUST select the 'purchase insurance' icon'' Brian

Same here you get what you pay for and we only pay to fly East Mids/Faro or Stansted to Sevilla not for a meal or pampering or even to use the loo. Flight time about 21/4 hrs and a good newspaper takes up that time.

How do you get away with not being charged for using a debit card to pay the bill?

Not sure I understand why. Most times we pay by credit card for which there is no charge and this time we have paid by debit card (and fully expected a charge) and have also not been charged. Maybe something to do with whether its Switch or Visa Electron etc?

Talking of Ryanair, this probably rings true.........

Man sitting in the bar in departures at a busy airport.

A beautiful woman walks in and sits down at the table next to him.

He concludes that because she's got a uniform on, she's probably an

off-duty flight attendant.

He decides to have a go at picking her up by identifying the airline

she flies for, thereby, he trusts, impressing her greatly.

He leans across to her and states the Delta Airlines motto: "We love

to fly and it shows"

The woman looks at him blankly. He sits back and thinks of another.

He leans forward again and this time delivers the Air France motto:

"Winning the hearts of the world"

Again she just stares at him with a slightly puzzled look on her face.

Undeterred, he tries again, this third time quoting the Malaysian

Airlines motto: "Going beyond expectations"

The woman straightens herself up, looks at him sternly and demands:

"What the f*** do you want?"

"Ah!" the man says, sitting back with a knowing smile on his face.

"Ryanair"

We booked Ryanair flights for April, which they then cancelled. Two months later still haven't been refunded. Wouldn't ever use them again.

Have you been paying by Ryanair Credit card? as their charge if you use credit and debit cards except Electron cards, £5 per person travelling each flight. As it cost companies no more than 50P per transaction for debit card and 3% for credit card transaction Ryanair are are quids in.
If you want to change the flight then thats £25 per person per flight if you booked on line. Or in the case when my husband booked a flight and the confirmation came back with wrong destination cheaper not to turn up.

That's really useful, saves time searching different websites and making notes of the various times and prices. Thanks
