We (Me, my husband Lee and our 2 kidds Liam 8 & Keira 4) are moving to Costa Esuri in a couple of weeks.
Will be arriving on 1st May.

Bet you are all getting excited.

The weather bit cooler and windier today expecting showers wednesday, Don't worry though you will all soon be roasting in the summer heat.

Have Keira and Liam met any british kids already in Ayamonte? My son also called Liam is 13 but he has a couple of friends younger they all play football in laguna square.

Have you arranged schooling?

Yes we are very excited, bit emothional at the moment with saying goodbye to family & friends.
We've not met any other british kids in Ayamonte yet, but we spoke to Jag in Feb when were last over and he said his son is similar age, and also there is another family moving out in July who have a son same age. Fingers crossed they'll find friends quick enough, i do worry as Liam isn't very confident.
We went to Moreno Y Chacon and will hopefully get them a place in there.
Where does your son go? Has he settled ok out there?

Our son Liam plays with Jag's son they are best friends. The age difference here isn't a problem you see children of all ages playing together.

Liam goes to school in huelva and is very happy there. We had a school report last week and it was wonderful to hear the teachers talk about him with such encouragement. Two years on he is fluent in Spanish. They pick it up alot easier than we do. Don't worry, I know that is easy to say, your children will be fine

Hi we haven't been out so far this year, we are coming over in 7 weeks time for just 8 days, i'm intrested in what movements esuri has had since we were last out, i have found the past 6 months tough and am just about holding on to my property, my mortgage payments have almost doubled, and having had no rental income since i purchased 3 yrs ago and i can't see any rental income for the forseeing future either i am getting worried, how are people living there finding the work situation? are people visting esuri so that goes hand in hand with people needing work done ie gardening, furniture buying and genarel works carried out? or have things become very quite? what is the general concensis at the momment? is there any movement on getting the hotel up and running or the commercial center? is the little shop still open? i also heard there were a couple of furniture shops closed in town is this true? I apologise for so many qustions (and my spelling) but i am getting very worried, ESURI is fast becoming my holiday home from hell, and could anybody recomend a good managment company my current one does not seem to be all that intrested in my concerns or achiving me any rental income THANKS GUYS

Why have your mortgage payments doubled when interest rates have come down?

Yes a couple of the furniture stores have closed their stores in town, but are still operating via the net.

Jobs wise it is pretty tough, but probably not much different than most places around the world.

Don't use a property mangement company, but I know SB Property Services are looking for 3 bed properties on Esuri for long term lets.

Hi Dilly Dally,

I have been up at Esuri today and have to say it was really busy. The pools are open, although quite cold apparently. The communal areas every where are tidy and clean. The golf course was really busy too.It is rumoured that the little shop will be opening again. You just have to bide your time with Esuri

Yes there are some business closing in Ayamonte, not just British owned. It is just a sign of the times every where, Spain is no different, at least we can have the sun

Your mortgage should be coming down at the moment. Check when your 6 month review is on your mortgage and you should then find a notable difference in your monthly payments. Or your could go to the bank and extend the amount of years for paying the mortgage. The banks are helping people keep up with their payments as much as they can and you will find that they will try their best help you. Do try to keep hold of your property, you arent on your own struggling as there are a lot of people in the same boat as you.

I cannot advertise on here but if you go to the property management company that Jag mentioned they are urgently needing a couple of 3 bed houses from next month for long term rentals.
