We know all of the family that own the Earnshaw van. Very nice, decent and helpful people. Very sorry to hear about this and sincerely hope that no-one was hurt.

I wonder if any one can help me. Can the Sky Card you use in the UK be used in Spain to obtain the Sky Channels when visiting?

We were told at Monte Rei that they are going to provide a shuttle bus to take people home. Not up and running yet as they have only been open about 4 or 5 weeks. Not sure whether this will include bringing folks back to CE although only 20mins away.

Well I'm sure if you can afford one of the properties (apparently Jack Nicholas has bought 4) the price of a meal in the restaurant will seem like peanuts.

Not sure about that J&K, doesnt the sky card have to match with the box? So if you bring a UK sky card and put it in a box over here, you get a mismatch. I think that is only for subscription channels where the card/box match is critical. I get fine reception with a 1.2 m channelmaster dish down here but dont have any sky subscription package.

Absolutely not Bryan. Beacuse of contract terms if Sky find out you are using a UK contract card in Spain, they will disable the card via satellite signal. Which is why many people keep very quiet if they are using a sky UK package card in Spain.

They only check for the first 12 mths when you are connected to the phone line.

I have two cards, one originally matched to box, the other one brought over and not matched and with some (all free from subscription) channels, the matched card works and the unmatched card says "card not matching box" or something like that. I know that after 12 months you dont need to retain the phone line and can then move the box and card where you wish.
