correct grammar and punctuation plea
#32
It is strange that is is on the Spanish thread; it should cover all the threads
However, why have a problem with writing correctly? It also helps one get a decent job. If basic mistakes are made, as they are here, aren't they also going to be on the CV? I know peoople that don't hire anybody with such poor syntax and grammar.

I agree with Mikelincs, when you come on here you come on here to relax, not to have to think.
And sometimes your fingers just run away with you because you are having a good time, and words just seem to flow without thought.
It is not for your actual earning capacity & as you well know computer language is not exactly the best when communicating, because of so many short cuts & of course our smilies
Have fun

Checking my spelling, punctuation and grammar whilst trying to be politically correct as well as using the appropriate smileys on all posts?
Too much work for me I'm afraid!

You might all hate me for this but please please could we try harder in the spelling, punctuation and grammar department?
I find it very difficult to take any post seriously when it lacks the grace that is inherent in the English language.
Isn't this a reflection on who we are and what we represent? Isn't the English language one of the most expressive and precise languages in use....hence its universal appeal...so surely its native speakers should take extra care ...your thoughts ....?

CULCHIE meaning of course a country saying in Ireland for a YOKEL that is someone who alledgely has the brains of a donut, pea etc, however the word also derives from a french interputation i.e cul -che which a lot of female dogs are called in the country i.e CHE CHE?

Is this the real life ?
Is this just fantasy ?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
I'm just a poor girl, I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go
A little high, little low
Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me
