There will obviously be a few Welsh, Scots, and Northern Irish, but they only make a very small percentage. England has a population of over 53 million, so mainly English.

Not unhappy with the UK just wish we could take on more of that which is better in other countries.

Many more English than other Brits therefore it's the English that are the problem.

In the same way;

Many more Brits on holiday in Spain than any other nationality

Many more people of all nationalities speaking English than any other language.

Strikes me that these two might help fuel the impression that it's Brits that misbehave.

What bit about NOT UNHAPPY WITH THE UK do you not undersatnd.

I know two similar(ish) resorts very well - Estepona and Weston-super-Mare (which incidentally just might be where EMR is talking about).

Admittedly I haven't spent much time in WSM centre for some time but it was never too bad - usually a bunch of Brummies getting legless and throwing up but that was about it. I must try it again - maybe it's got worse.

I lived in Estepona port for many years and it was common to see people throwing up, using car boots to snort coke off and pissing in full view of all - the place used to stink like a urinal on Saturday and Sunday mornings in the summer (vast majority Spanish by the way - very few Brits there).

Weston, BristoL Bath , jCardiff, Newport, Swansea, Swindon just about any UK town or city. suffers from the changes in behaviour we are discussing...
Most know nothing or little of what goes on because they are safely tucked up kn front of their teles leaving town and city centres to those out to enjoy themselves
This one of the reasons why there is so much shock and disgust at the behaviour seen when the same groups go on holiday.

There is definitely a strong drug culture amongst young Spaniards and there are many all Spanish resorts around the coast where drug use is almost the norm.
It's unlikely that many N.Eu tourists would ever want to visit them or stay there because they have so little to offer other than sand and sea and ugly concrete jungle apt blocks which are a far worse mess than those in the better known tourist centres.

There is a drugs culture in the Uk just as bad as in any other country, maybe we are just better at hiding it.

There is another angle - especially if we're comparing the UK and Spain...

Booze in Spain is very cheap - a fraction of UK prices. So drink fueled anti social behavior and disorder should be far more prevalent among the Spanish.
With all due respect to those defending Brit culture, this is simply not the case.

It also makes a mockery of the notion that charging more for alcohol in the UK will solve the problem.
