Congrats Mel, we are very happy for you.

I called department couple of times and they always advise that it may take 6 to 8 months. One person said this may take upto 9 months coz of backlog..

We've also received my hubby's acknowledgement card saying that DIAC received the pack on 26/07/10. So interestingly I see few of us around the same date :)

What I have learnt is that London is pretty quick for the spouse visa if you are UK citizens and have straight case like being with your spouse for long time, having kids and history of expense...
