Re: Flights via singapore

I have not thrown my toys out of the pram at all, in fact you have completely hijacked this debate by trying to sound like you are the World's Greatest Authority on airline travel! On the last thread...

Re: Flights via singapore

Okay, since you will not let this go. My reference was to the comments that you made on this and the other thread about baggage allowance. Although I tried to give an honest account of our personal...

Thumbs down Re: Flights via singapore

From what I have read on this and other expat web sites there is clearly ambiguity as to which airlines do give double baggage allowance and my original comment was well intentioned and based on our...

Do you get some perverse pleasure in trying to put other's down?
I may have been wrong about the...

Post Re: Anyone emigrated over 40

Hi,

We are both 54 and came to Perth 4 months ago on a 457 temp visa.
We were given the opportunity and grasped it with both hands. If everything works out and we enjoy it here, we may go for a...

Post Re: Is this normal?

What you are feeling is completely normal. I was running on adrenalin for months before we left and I even found I was on 'automatic pilot' when saying my 'goodbyes' to people before we left.

The...

Post Re: Baggage allowance when you do a wee stop over ??

You are, once again, missing my point entirely. Qantas double the allowance for those emigrating along with several other airlines. 20kg x 2 = 40kg.

As I stated before, we had 40kgs which was...

Post Re: Baggage allowance when you do a wee stop over ??

What really cheesed us off was that Qantas and BA are part of the same 'Alliance', so in theory, you would have thought they would take into consideration the first part of the journey we had been...

Post Re: Worst day so far

We had the same dilemma when we started to sort out and pack up, so we sold some things on ebay, but eventually we took 8 large boxes of unwanted items, china, toys, ornaments, garden equipment,...
