I agree Lakeland is pricey, I tend to get my gadgety stuff from there that I can't seem to find anywhere else, I'm sure aus has lots of alternatives, thanks for the links!

Aussie alternative to lakeland?

Hi everyone!

Does anyone know what the aussie equivilent to the lakeland (website) is?

I use lakeland for sooo many of my kitchen/cooking supplies...just wondering if aus has anything similar....

I also had a telephone interview, was only on the phone for 10 mins, she was lovely and it didnt feel "interviewy" at all.

I suggest calling them to enquire if they received your application. If you applied in march you should have been assigned a case officer by now.

Kamie don't worry we are in the exact same boat. As far as I'm aware it's no news is good news, I think people only get their visas refused if the CO has asked for further evidence and they havnt...

I know one can not assume anything until the visa is in front of you, but im hopeful...!

My application was received (ie, the money came out of my bank and my C/O emailed me...

So you must be "frontloading" your application - wherby you send everything in one lump including medical, police check, application etc etc?
Thats probably the best way and how i wish we`d have...

I was mega nervous about the medical too - but afterwards you feel great.

You will most probably need xray yes - thats the easiest part, you just pop on a gown, stand in front of a white screen...

Its always best to send a full application (ie everything included) as ive heard from some people it speeds up the process...dont know if this is true;
