Default Aussie alternative to lakeland?

Hi everyone!

Does anyone know what the aussie equivilent to the lakeland (website) is?

I use lakeland for sooo many of my kitchen/cooking supplies...just wondering if aus has anything similar. googled it but all i can find are "catering equipment" websites.

Thanks
x

Nothing really springs to mind as a national chain but there are loads of kitchen shops. None as good as Lakeland though IMHO - I often come back with stuff I have found there on holidays and cast covetous eyes on some things that are too big to fit in the backpack!

I can't find the cake cases over here- tons of them for cupcakes, but no 8" round liners or 10" ones.

If anyone knows where I can get some, I'd be grateful.

I've used Kitchenware Direct a few times before, may be of some use.

I've never seen them here, just hundreds and thousands of different cup cake cases. I got my liners sent over from Lakeland.

I've had orders sent to the MiL and she then sends it on. Don't bother any more as I've found everything I want in various kitchen shops here.

What are they, like pieces of baking paper you can re-use?

Whilst along these lines does anyone know where I can get a Mason Cash mixing bowl from in the Perth area (nothern subs)?

Only 3 things got broken in the move (all mine) & one of which was my mixing bowl which I've had since I was 18. It's got a major crack through it & although still usable it's on borrowed time.

Not sure of anywhere in Perth but if you have to replace then these people appear to ship all over Australia. Try Kitchen Witch on Joondalup Drive and Kitchen Warehouse in Osborne Park. Both fantastic kitchen shops, I don't appear to be able to go in without spending silly amounts of cash!!

I did buy a very similar bowl in Perth, but can't remember where now, I've had it so long. My favourite kitchen shop in Perth is this one http://www.ladykitchener.com.au/. I could spent hours and many hundreds of $ if I got the chance.

Maybe its just me but I find Lakeland extortionate.

Saying that we have just bought a heated clothes dryer- as so many people rave about them. Even the delivery guy said 'what are these things? I have delivered so many of them'.

The dryer is expensive, but I have not seen it anywhere else...

I agree Lakeland is pricey, I tend to get my gadgety stuff from there that I can't seem to find anywhere else, I'm sure aus has lots of alternatives, thanks for the links!
