The air con in the car is a problem when you wear contacts...as paranoidandroid said turn the vents away from you.

Yes I had Lasik surgery 10 years ago to correct mild myopia and severe astigmatism. It's one of the best things I've ever done. It took me about a year to research what was then break through...

I wore contacts for about 10 years and the brightness thing never improved...so I got lasik surgery. :thumbsup: Although the downside to that is having to wear reading glasses. :(

I was never comfortable driving at night wearing contacts. I used to see starbursts from street lights, headlights etc which affected my vision. I also had trouble with any bright light...looking...

I seem to remember my single vision contacts were like that until your eyes get used to them. Same when you switch back to glasses...although that doesn't last very long.

I remember when I was a child mum had a little sucker thingy for her hard contacts.

I started to wear soft contacts (I had a severe astigmatism) in the late 80's.

My husband had a problem getting his lenses in and out at first...he could stand touching his eyes. Eventually he mastered it and could take them in and out without looking in the mirror.
