Pretty sure you only need to go to the Embassy if your petition is going to expire as well. So even though the visa was for 3 years, if your PED is for 5 years, you don't need to go to the Embassy. ...

That's what I intended it to mean. It's an application for an immigrant visa. And the category of immigrant visa that she's applying for (not from) determines whether premium processing is available...

There's no premium processing available for EB1 so that was just standard. Don't know specifics about medicals yet, we just today got a "courtesy letter" to confirm that I-693s were not included...

We're going through same at the moment. Going from L1 / L2 to EB1. Here's our current timeline.

July 9 - I-140 submitted to Texas Service Center
July 31 - I-485 submitted, EAD and Travel Card...

NHS entitlement is based on being "ordinarily resident" in the UK (not nationality) so none of you are eligible. Obviously in case of an emergency, you'd go to A&E and would be seen but they may ask...

Can I ask was this recently? Current advice is for L visa holders not to travel while AP is pending or the application will be considered abandoned. L visa holders used to be exempt from this rule...

Yes it's a combined AP/EAD (work authorization) card. No idea if it's issued for a particular length of time, I would assume it's valid until green cards are in hand at which point it becomes...
