Re: Our experience of having a baby

I was going to say - our Avent bottles are not 'bendy', nor do they leak - so Bob's post surprised me on that a little. Ours must be the 'classic' too. Didn't even know they had bendy ones!! Then...

Re: Can my fiancé apply for citizenship in Florida??

Why the questions about Florida? Immigration is a federal process so it doesn't matter where you apply. The only way the particular area comes into play is the local office, and how fast or slow...

Re: N-400 Post your individual journey please!

Thought I should mention - hubby received his US passport on Friday. It only took about a week and a half after he applied so they're really moving fast right now.

Re: I-94 on VWP

DOH - of course! I meant to put the W on my post but obviously forgot. :o

Ah ok. Was late in the day for me and I was easily confused. :D

Re: I-94 on VWP

I believe it was only on a trial basis to start but as far as I know, it's now enforced nationwide.

Re: I-94 on VWP

I'm surprised you also didn't find on searching the threads that I 94s are no longer required for VWP visitors since they have to now complete ESTA.

Re: do you think?

Con offs have to apply the law to the visa you're seeking. It sounds like you're expecting them to (or hoping they will) ignore it just to be nice. Doesn't sound very likely when you say it out...

Re: Back from Blighty

Hubby still dreams of the greasy kebab wagon around the corner from him. HA.

Re: Is this a problem?

http://britishexpats.com/wiki/K1_London_Applications

The IV-15 (better known as 'the checklist') is basically just a run down of the items the previous Wiki says to gather, and its your way of...

If you had mentioned a kebab, my husband may have had to kill you out of food envy. LOL

Re: Where to start people?

I know of no website that lists companies willing to shell out for H1b visas. I would assume its not something most companies advertise. Did you not read the 'Pulaski's Ways' wiki as was suggested...

Re: Where to start people?

Oh, I apologize - I thought you meant your partner is a US citizen.

And yes - your options are basically non existent if you do not qualify through your family or work. Sorry to disappoint you on...

Re: Where to start people?

Your only real option, based on the circumstances you describe, is to get here through your significant other - either as a fiancee or a spouse - K1 and CR1 visas respectively. (I'm also assuming...

Re: Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes

Surely they got what they expected when they signed him on as host. To decry it now is pretty piss poor.

Re: K-1 Questions

I can see logic in both, actually. For a US citizen, I figured N/A was the better answer, as US citizens would not have an A# - unless they are naturalized citizens (which I suppose I should have...

Re: K-1, illegal in UK, how to apply?

So 'help' to you equates hooking up the OP with a friend who likely has irrelevant information to add to his situation. Okay...!

Re: K-1 Questions

I don't think the form has been updated recently to account for this. I would write in 'None - ESTA.'

You would only have an alien registration number if you had been in the immigration...

Re: Pool Cleaning business

Well, yes, mainly because it goes against what an E2 is supposed to do. (See Boiler's post) Why you're taking that as a slight of some kind against a pool cleaning business, I dunno.

Re: Pregnancy and Healthcare Insurance

I would call your insurer to find out in advance what is covered during your pre natal care and what isn't.

I had a baby in July 2010 and it only cost me $240 out of pocket - that was for all pre...

Re: N-400 Post your individual journey please!

Yours sounds like a much better experience than what we had. Ours was long and quite painful. But hey, I guess all that matters is he's a USC after it all. :)

Re: IHOP-love the pancakes, but...

IHOP had been hubby's favorite restaurant since he got here.

But we went last week (after his USC oath ceremony!) and we all thought the portions were stingy compared to last time we were there. ...
